What does Inclusive Education means?
Inclusive education means all children in the same classrooms, in the same schools. It means real learning opportunities for groups who have traditionally been excluded – not only children with disabilities, but speakers of minority languages too.
Playing ground:
Play & Park Structures creates an environment that encourages learning by providing outdoor curriculum to enhance classroom learning.
Play & Park Structures help to make school playground project a reality, and realizes that providing a new playground for a school is a necessary. That’s why we’re doing our best to try to make the process a little easier. Also we have our own school playground with the play equipments for the junior kids.
School Transport:
Children will be able to get school transport, depending on how far the walk is and any special needs they have.
All children between 3 and 16 qualify for the school transport. In every transport there is a support staff to look after the children and ensure the safety & security of the students.
Student and Parent Counseling
At Hive International School, we have special counseling department. Children are provided counseling on issues related to classroom adjustment, peer/teen pressure and learning problems. Students with discipline and behavioral issues are regularly counseled in a comforting and secure environment. Children are guided to acquire social and life skills which go a long way in helping them to live a happy life. This cell is also actively involved in working with the parents & teachers.
A series of parent counseling workshops have been conducted for parents of children from different classes. Parents were given tips on some of their common concerns like exam stress, coping with peer pressure and resolving conflicts.
The purpose of Parent Counseling and Training is to assist parents in acquiring skills to support the implementation of their child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). In some cases this may involve helping the parent to gain skills needed to support IEP goals and objectives at home. This purpose can be accomplished by:
- Assisting parents in understanding the educational needs of their child,
- Providing parents with information about child development,
- Providing support and basic information about a child’s initial placement in special education, and
- Providing parents with contact information about parent support groups, financial assistance resources, and other potential sources of information or support outside the school system.
Parent Counseling and Training is intended to benefit the child by helping them to make greater gains toward meeting their IEP goals and objectives because important learning supports will be provided both at school and at home.
Computer Lab
We offer computer facility in classrooms for academic classes, staff training, and special events. Hive International School has a number of laptops, tablets for the students’ use. All computers have access to applications for word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, multi-media, and LOGO programming, as well as a variety of specialized educational programs. The computers are equipped with network access to allow students to explore the Internet. Black-and-white and color printers, scanners are also available for student use.
The Learning Resource Center (LRC):
The LRC maintains a collection of textbooks from preschool onwards. The textbooks are especially useful for designing lesson plans. The collection contains teacher and student editions as well as supplemental material. Subjects covered range from Social Studies and Science to Music and Art.
The text book collection is organized and shelved separately. The textbooks are organized according to subject, publisher, year, grade level, and format.
Reception/ Customer care unit:
The Customer Service Center provides a central point of contact for customer service questions and provides assistance with unresolved issues pertaining to any unit within the Office of Administration for all members of the school community. This unit cares the admission .....
Wifi facility
There's a WiFi connection throughout the school so anyone can access the internet anywhere, and use it during lessons to supplement the learning. Our entire classrooms feature allows our teachers to use the latest technology in learning experience.
Waiting area
There is an assigned waiting area that is shared for the parents & students. Neither students, nor parents are, allowed to wait in the classroom areas. For the purpose of student safety and school liability, and in order to allow teachers to supervise ...
Co curricular activities
Hive International School, Dhaka offers a wide range of cultural and creative activities to students at all levels and all students are encouraged to participate. The school is particularly well resourced to provide cultural opportunities for our students. Sports
The students take part in a wide variety of sports for enjoyment, relaxation and physical development, but equally as an aid to their educational advancement, instilling a sense of self-worth.
